I Vampire Weekend, band indie rock newyorkes, in data 24 gennaio 2019 hanno rilasciato un EP contenente due inediti battezzati “Harmony Hall” e “2021”, che anticipano l’uscita del quarto album in studio Father of the Bride, che si presume uscirà la prossima primavera su Sony Music.
Se 2021, tributo al musicista giapponese Haruomi Hosono, è un pezzo molto corto e senza troppe pretese, il cui ritornello viene interpretato dalla cantautrice Jenny Lewis, Harmony Hall è sicuramente un pezzo più interessante firmato da Ezra Koenig, il cui titolo prende il nome dall’edificio omonimo, dormitorio della Columbia University, dove Ezra e Chris Baio si sono laureati.
L’atteso disco “Father Of Bride“, arriverà a ben 6 anni di distanza da Modern Vampires of the City (2013), ultima fortunata fatica discografica certificata Oro in Canada, UK e Stati Uniti d’America.
