I The Strumbellas sono un’interessante band Indie rock e alternative country canadese e Spirits è il loro nuovo singolo. Il gruppo è composto da Simon Ward, David Ritter, Jon Hembrey, Izzy Ritchie, Darryl James e Jeremy Drury ed ha all’attivo due album: My Father and the Hunter (2012) e We Still Move on Dance Floors (2013), ma nel 2016, esattamente il prossimo 22 aprile, rilasceranno il terzo lavoro battezzato Hope, al cui interno dovrebbe essere presente quest’orecchiabile canzone, che è arrivata al primo posto nella Canada Alternative Rock Chart.
Il brano è davvero molto carino e verrà trasmesso dalle emittenti radiofoniche nazionali a partire da venerdì 25 marzo.
Spirits è accompagnato dal video ufficiale disponibile dal 28 gennaio nel canale Youtube del gruppo. Il filmato è stato prodotto da Michael Goldlist per The Artcraft Zoo e diretto da Daniel AM Rosenberg, nominato nel 2014 al JUNO Awards e al MMVA (Much Music Video Awards) come “video dell’anno” e “video dell’anno Hip-Hop” (‘Friend Of Mine’ – D-Sisive).
