Darker Than Blood è il secondo singolo di Steve Aoki con i Linkin Park estratto da Neon Future II, terzo album in studio del deejay e produttore americano, che vedrà la luce il 12 maggio 2015.
Dopo il precedente I Love It When You Cry, l’artista ha pubblicato questa canzone scritta insieme ai Lionkin Park e prodotta insieme a Mike Shinoda e Brad Delson che tra l’altro, hanno prodotto l’intero nuovo disco, che includerà anche Time Capsule (Intro), Youth Dem (Turn Up) feat. Snoop Lion, Hysteria feat. Matthew Koma, Lightning Strikes (con NERVO & Tony Junior), Tars (Interlude) feat. Kip Thorne, Home We’ll Go (Take My Hand) [con Walk Off The Earth], Heaven On Earth feat. La rock band californiana ed il dj, in passato collaborarono alla realizzazione del brano A Light That Never Comes, singolo estratto dal secondo album di remix del gruppo intitolato Recharged, pubblicato il 16 settembre 2013.
Originariamente battezzato Horizons, Darker Than Blood fu originariamente scritto da Aoki, per essere successivamente riscritto da Mike Shinoda, che ha voluto dare il suo tocco oscuro ad un pezzo che a suo parere era troppo allegro.
