Higher Power, singolo dei Coldplay rilasciato il 7 maggio 2021, rivelandosi un successo mondiale. Il brano (qui il video e il testo, qui il nostro articolo con il testo e la traduzione in italiano) sarà incluso nel futuro nono album in studio, ancora senza titolo e release date, successore di Everyday Life, ultima fatica discografica della rock band britannica pubblicata il 22 novembre 2019, certificata Oro in Italia. Il nuovo disco potrebbe intitolarsi Music of the Spheres, ma al momento non vi è alcuna ufficialità in merito.
Scritta da Max Martin, Denise Carite, Federico Vindver, Will Champion, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland & Chris Martin, e prodotta da Max Martin, Oscar Holter & Bill Rahko, la canzone è anche disponibile nella versione acustica e nei remix di ZHU e Tiësto. Ad accompagnarla vi sono ben tre video: il primo, definito come “audio ufficiale”, è stato diretto da Paul Dugdale e mostra i componenti del gruppo eseguire il brano circondati da ologrammi alieni che danzano a ritmo. Il secondo è il lyric video disponibile dal 19 maggio. Il terzo è invece il video ufficiale, online dall’8 giugno e ambientato in quello che sembra essere un altro mondo.
