Love Runs Out è il titolo del nuovo singolo dei OneRepublic, quinto estratto dall’ultima fatica discografica Native, uscita il 6 aprile 2013. Questo pezzo fa seguito ai precedenti “Feel Again”, “If I Lose Myself”, “Counting Stars” e “Something I Need”.
La rock band statunitense, non ne vuole quindi sapere di accantonare il progetto, rilanciandolo con questo pezzo, che è accompagnato dal video ufficiale uscito il 4 giugno scorso. Il brano ha anche un altro scopo che vi spiego più avanti.
Love Runs Out inizialmente venne scelto come primo singolo, per poi essere archiviato, in quanto in quel periodo mancava ancora il ritornello perfetto, stando almeno a quanto affermato da Ryan Tedder, leader del gruppo. Evidentemente adesso il ritornello è soddisfacente: ascoltiamo la canzone, che comunque stava ottenendo soddisfacenti risultati anche senza il filmato, che è stato diretto da Sophie Muller e che andiamo a vedere (è stato spostato ad inizio articolo).
Love Runs Out è un brano prodotto da Ryan Tedder, che ha co-scritto la canzone insieme a Brent Kutzle, Drew Brown, Eddie Fisher e Zach Filkins.
Il pezzo anticipa inoltre il rilascio della ristampa dell’album “Native”, sulla quale al momento non vi sono dettagli e nemmeno una data ufficiale di pubblicazione.
