Edge of a Revolution è il nuovo singolo della rock band canadese dei Nickelback, che fa da apripista al nuovo nonché ottavo studio album No Fixed Address, sul quale al momento non si hanno notizie se non quella che dovrebbe essere pubblicato il prossimo novembre. Il nuovo lavoro arriva a quasi 3 anni di distanza dall’ultima fatica discografica Here and Now.

Chad Kroeger & soci tornano quindi alla ribalta con questa canzone pubblicata il 19 agosto 2014: si tratta della prima release con la nuova etichetta discografica Republic Records.

Dopo ben tre anni d’assenza, i Nickelback sono pronti al rientro in grande stile, con questo gustoso antipasto di ciò che troveremo nell’atteso ottavo lavoro nella loro prolifica carriera.

Per l’occasione la band ha deciso di cambiare rotta: rispetto al classico rock che da sempre li ha contraddistinti, il gruppo ha scelto di affrontare argomenti socialmente delicati “Abbiamo scelto di distaccarci dalla nostra tipica produzione. Vogliamo affrontare tematiche che abbiano risvolti anche per la gente” ha affermato Kroeger, leader della band e marito di Avril Lavigne.

Prossimamente sarà possibile il videoclip ufficiale e nell’attesa, il gruppo ha rilasciato il lyric video che potete vedere appena dopo l’immagine relativa alla copertina, insieme al testo scritto.

Prima però ricordiamo che la traccia Edge of a revolution, sarà seguita da un altro estratto battezzato What are you waiting for, per il quale è già in lavorazione un video, anch’esso disponibile nei prossimi giorni.
