LP, al secolo Laura Pergolizzi, è un’emergente cantautrice statunitense classe 1982 e Lost On You è il suo nuovo singolo, il primo che ha una certa visibilità anche in Italia, pubblicato il 10 giugno 2016. Dallo stesso giorno, la canzone viene trasmessa dalle emittenti radiofoniche nazionali.
Nata a New York da genitori italiani (il padre è siculo-irlandese mentre la madre è napoletana), Laura è molto attiva anche come autrice per importanti artisti come Rihanna (ha scritto Cheers – Drink to That), Rita Ora (autrice di Shine Ya Light), Leona Lewis, Cher Lloyd, The Veronicas, Ella Henderson, Cher, Karmin e Heidi Montag.
La Pergolizzi cerca ora fortuna anche come cantante e la sua Lost On You è una canzone molto bella e delicata, che non può fare rimanere indifferente l’ascoltatore di turno. Nell’inedito, LP confessa a se stessa e a noi, i veri desideri di una vita, rivolgendosi alla donna che ama. Lei è infatti omosessuale dichiarata.
