I Chvrches & Robert Smith nel singolo “How Not To Drown”

Rilasciato il 2 giugno 2021 e on air da due giorni più tardi, How Not To Drown è un singolo dei Chvrches con la collaborazione di Robert Smith, cantautore e polistrumentista britannico, fondatore dei Cure. Il testo, la traduzione, l’audio e il video diretto da Scott Kiernan.

Dopo He Said She Said, pubblicato il precedente 19 aprile, è il momento di questo secondo anticipo di Screen Violence, quarto album in studio della band indie pop scozzese, atteso il 27 agosto 2021, a oltre tre anni dall’ultima fatica discografica Love Is Dead.

Il trio scozzese e il frontman dei The Cure, hanno unito le forze in questa coinvolgente canzone, che evoca atmosfere anni ’80, in cui la sua inconfondibile voce si fonde alla perfezione con quella di Lauren che, riguardo al brano, ha detto: “Questi testi parlano di un periodo in cui volevo solo scomparire e dell’unica volta in cui ho mai pensato di lasciare la band.”
