Chasing the sun è il titolo del nuovo singolo di Hilary Duff, cantante e cantautrice statunitense.
Questa canzone, anticipa il rilascio del suo prossimo quinto album in studio, sul quale al momento in cui scrivo non si hanno informazioni, se non quelle che vedrà produzioni di Benny Blanco e Dr. Luke, mentre tra gli autori delle tracce, ci sarà il cantautore britannico Ed Sheeran.
Il testo della leggera, divertente canzone estiva Chasing the sun, è invece stato firmato da Colbie Caillat, Jason Reeves e Toby Gad, quest’ultimo ha anche prodotto questo pezzo che presenta un’atmosfera retrò, che ci porta totalmente indietro alla fine degli anni ’90 / primi anni 2000 grazie al suono bubblegum pop.
L’interprete ha da poco firmato un nuovo contratto discografico con la RCA Records (l’ex label è stata la Hollywood Records), e Chasing the sun è il primo rilascio con la nuova etichetta.
Il video ufficiale che accompagna quest’inedito, è uscito in anteprima su VEVO il 29 luglio 2014, e da poche ore è disponibile anche nel suo canale Youtube. Il filmato è adattissimo alla calda stagione ed alla spensieratezza che la contraddistingue.
