Il 29 gennaio 2016 esce per Nuclear Blast Record, Ghostlights, il settimo album in studio degli Avantasia, che arriva a quasi 3 anni di distanza dall’ultima fatica discografica The Mystery of Time, pubblicata nell’aprile 2013.
L’album è stato registrato in Germania, presso il Gatestudio di Wolfsburg, mentre la produzione è opera dei componenti Sascha Paeth e Tobias Sammet. Il secondo come senz’altro saprete, è la voce del gruppo power metal tedesco Edguy, nonché l’ideatore del supergruppo metal rock Avantasia. Ma ecco qualche informazione su questa nuova uscita discografica.
L’opera sarà disponibile nei negozi nelle seguenti versioni:
1 CD contenente un totale di tredici tracce inedite, tra le quali spicca il primo singolo estratto Mystery of a Blood Red Rose, un bel pezzo, il cui audio è stato svelato proprio oggi. Preso parleremo di questa traccia, la numero uno del progetto.
Digibook – 2 CD: il primo disco altro non è che quello relativo alla versione standard di cui sopra, mentre il secondo propone undici canzoni di repertorio dal vivo.
Earbook – 3CD: dei primi due CD abbiamo già parlato, mentre il terzo contiene dodici delle tredici tracce incluse nel primo CD, nella versione strumentale e quindi adatte ad essere cantate.
Vinile: in questo formato verranno rilasciate le versioni Clear Vinyl, Gold Vinyl, Black Vinyl e Picture Vinyl. Quest’ultima è quella che verrà sicuramente commercializzata in Italia ed è formata da due LP, comprendenti le tredici tracce inedite del progetto.
