Arrows è il nuovo singolo dell’emergente band indie rock statunitense Fences, con la collaborazione di Macklemore e Ryan Lewis che ha curato la produzione.
Dopo il grande successo ottenuto con il disco d’esordio The Heist, ed i relativi singoli, su tutti “Thrift Shop feat. Wanz”, l’affiatatissimo duo formato dal rapper, cantante e cantautore statunitense Ben Haggerty, in arte Macklemore, ed il produttore discografico e disc jockey americano Ryan Lewis, ha deciso di dare una spinta a questo semi-sconosciuto gruppo, che discograficamente debuttò nel 2010 con il disco omonimo, senza tuttavia avere la possibilità di farsi conoscere ad una vasta platea.
Ora la band formata da Christopher Mansfield (chitarra e voce), Ben Greenspan (vox, chitarra e synth), Lindsey Starr (basso, moog e vox) e Mark Albarker ci riprovano con l’aiuto di questi 2 artisti, che a differenza della maggior parte dei colleghi, è riuscito ad ottenere il successo senza passare per le major discografiche.
Il singolo Arrows, anticipa il rilascio del secondo studio album Lesser Oceans, che dovrebbe essere pubblicato entro la fine del 2014, esattamente il prossimo 14 ottobre.
Si tratta di una bella midtempo pop decisamente incisiva ed orecchiabile, molto adatta alla calda stagione, le cui sonorità non possono lasciare indifferenti gli ascoltatori.
La traccia a mio parere, ha tutte le potenzialità di fare uscire i Fences dall’anonimato, facendogli trovare il loro pubblico.
