Summertime è il nuovo singolo della cantautrice inglese Amelle Berrabah, che anticipa il rilascio del debut album da solista, che vedrà la luce nel 2015. Per la cronaca dal gennaio 2006 Amelle è un pezzo delle Sugababes: in quell’anno avvicendò infatti Mutya Buena.
Nonostante il lungo silenzio della girl band e nessun nuovo progetto discografico in vista, i fans possono comunque ritenersi soddisfatti di vedere una loro beniamina cimentarsi nell’avventura da solista, avventura che tuttavia non è iniziata nel migliore dei modi, visto che il singolo Love (Is All We Need) pubblicato nel 2013, si è rivelato un flop.
Amelle fa comunque sul serio, avendo firmato un contratto con la label RCA, con la quale rilascerà il primo disco da solista, che dovrebbe essere pubblicato a metà del prossimo anno, ed il brano in questione dovrebbe essere incluso nella tracklist.
Dal 9 agosto è disponibile il video ufficiale che accompagna Summertimes, un filmato diretto da Carly Cussen, che in passato ha curato clip di brani di successo come “Disco Love” delle The Saturdays, “Dear Darlin” di Olly Murs e “Move” delle Little Mix.
