What I Like About You è il nuovo singolo dei 5 Seconds Of Summer che anticipa l’uscita di Live SOS, loro nuovo album dal vivo in uscita il 16 dicembre 2014.
Questa canzone non è inedita, essendo un pezzo della pop rock band dei The Romantic, pubblicato nel lontano 1979. Successivamente sono state registrate una serie di cover, l’ultima è quella dei 5SOS, già presente nella tracklist di 5 Seconds of Summer album d’esordio pubblicato lo scorso 27 giugno. La traccia bonus era disponibile per il solo mercato giapponese.
C’è da aggiungere che il brano in questione è stato recentemente presentato agli agli American Music Awards 2014 svoltosi presso il Nokia Theatre L.A. Live di Los Angeles, in California. Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood e Ashton Irwin hanno esordito agli AMAs regalando un’esibizione da brivido sulle note di What I Like About You, aggiudicandosi il premio nella categoria New artist of the year, in cui gareggiavano con Iggy Azalea, Meghan Trainor, Sam Smith ed i Bastille.
La canzone è stata scritta da Wally Palmar, Mike Skill e Jimmy Marinos, mentre Pete Solley ha curato la produzione.
